SPANISH V Students will receive midterm exam and other quizzes and tests taken the last two weeks before the midterm. Tests will be discussed. Students will learn new vocab. p 52. Students will learn to compare adj. and will learn the different forms and uses of the word THAN in Spanish. Students will do exercises from the text and workbooks to reinforce this concept. Students will do critical lens writing essay on Thursday. Students will begin a new short story "Una bonita combinación" Evaluations: LAZARILLO DE TORMES paper due Feb. 1st Writing sample Feb.4th SPANISH IV Students will receive midterm exam and other quizzes and tests taken the last two weeks before the midterm. Tests and other assignments will be discussed. Students will learn verbs that require the indirect object pronoun and how to use these verbs. Students will review MARIANELA questions in order to prepare for the test. Students will begin Chapter 4 with a vocab study and vocab questions. Students will learn the difference between POR and PARA. EVALUATIONS: Test MARIANELA on Feb.3rd SPANISH III Students will receive midterm exam and other tests and quizzes taken the last week before the midterm. Tests will be discussed. Students will begin Unit II with the study of the first vocabulary section on p. 61. Students will do a short reading on p. 60 that introduces the vocab and the reading exercise.They will read a selection on the daily life of a Puertorrican girl named Deborah and do a vocabulary exercise on p.64 (B). Students will read a story on the daily life of a native American Aymara from Bolivia. His name is Hipolito and they will learn how his life differs from Deborah in Puerto Rico and themselves. They will also learn how to use the Present Subjunctive with Impersonal expressions. EVALUATIONS: Quiz vocab. p.61on Friday, Feb. 5th
