December 18, 2009, Making a difference!
Video created by Kim Kosteczko, Computer Lab Manager

Our 2011 animal food drive will happen in the spring! Together we can make a difference. Students no donation is to small.

The Family and Consumer Science Department for the second year in a row in 2009 collected donations of cat and dog food, toys and bones, old towels and blankets, sponges and paper towels as well as copy paper for the Walden Humane Society as a community project.  Nine students along with their Teachers, Mrs. Hughes, Ms. Walley and Computer Lab Manager, Kim Kosteczko delivered the donations on Friday, December 18, 2009 to the Humane Society and toured the facility.

The students had an opportunity to tour the facility with Sara Hall, learning about the animals and visiting the cats and dogs waiting to be adopted. We would like to thank the Walden Humane Society for taking the time out of their busy day to show us around the Humane Society and allowing the students to interact with some of the animals. They really enjoyed the field trip and helping the animals.
