Spanish V

Students will read a new short story "Una bonita combinacion".  Students will go over the last 6 chapters of LAZARILLO DE TORMES.  Students will receive an introduction to the new novel they will be reading:  EL INGENIOSO HIDALGO, DON QUIJOTE DE LA MANCHA.

Spanish IV

Students will go over the midterm exam.  Students will also discuss the last 8 chapters of MARIANELA.Students will learn verbs that require an Indirect OBJECT Pronoun.  Students will  be given a Long Range Assignment which will be due on March 1st. on the history and geography of Spain. Students will begin the next chapter learning the new vocabulary, and reading an excerpt from Miguel de Unamuno's NADA MENOS QUE TODO UN HOMBRE.

Spanish III

Students will review the Subjunctive formation and the use of the subjunctive after impersonal expressions.  Students will learn the vocabulary on pp. 14, 22-26 doing exercises and readings practicing this vocabulary.  Students will learn the uses of the following: 1) acabar de+ the inf, vs. acabar 2) words that end in an "A" but are masculine because they are from the Greek language, 3) Hacer expressions.
