JGBMS Home and Career Skills students, along with Mrs. Hughes, Ms. Walley, and Mrs. Kosteczko visited the Walden Humane Society on March 7, 2012. The group dropped off donations collected by the students and staff which consisted of food, treats, cleaning supplies, toys, and bedding for the many dogs and cats in need. A tour of the shelter helped introduce various career opportunities and the value of public service. Home and Career Skills, a middle level course in Family and Science, prepares students to meet their present and future responsibilities as family and community members.

Thanks for playing with me!
If you know of someone who would love me,
please send them to the Walden Humane Society!

It's a great feeling to help make a difference in the lives of animals!

Thank you note!

I would like to thank everyone who donated food and supplies to our shelter! We are always grateful for donations. Again we thank the children and teachers for what they do for the animals. See you at Career Day!
