Databases for K-6
The following databases/virtual library resources are available free through NOVELNY (New York Online Virtual Electronic Library) and are recommended and appropriate for elementary students. If you need help logging in, please see your teacher for your user name and password.
eLibrary Elementary: Contains over 140 magazines and books for elementary students. Also includes the American Heritage Dictionary.
Kids InfoBits: Contains over 100 age-appropriate magazines for grades K-5. Also includes Merriam-Webster Elementary Dictionary, maps, flags, seals, charts and graphs.
Amazing Animals of the World: Resource for elementary school students that includes facts and photos for over 1200 animals.
America the Beautiful: Resource for elementary and middle school students that includes articles on US cities, states and Presidents.
