  • 7th Grade ELA Clinics - Panther Post

    Do you love to write? Photography?  Drawing Comics? Sports? Are you creative?  Then, the Panther Post is the place for you! John G. Borden is looking for students interested in creating an online magazine that would highlight your skills and the best of our school has to offer.  Come join us and find out more!   

    Sessions will cover: Introduction to Journalism, Magazine Design, Finding the stories, writer planning sheets, Editing and Proofreading.

  • 7th Grade Math Clinics

    During each session, students will spend half the time playing fun, competitive games such as Kahoot and Quizizz where they will get a chance to practice some of the key Math skills they have learned this year. Some topics include solving equations, evaluating expressions, graphing inequality solutions on a number line, and determining proportional relationships. The second half of each session will be used for students to complete current and/or overdue Math assignments.

  • 8th Grade ELA Clinics

    Students will spend the first half hour reviewing literary skills such as central idea, types of details, fact and opinion, author’s structure, point of view, evidence-based claims, visualization in reading, making inferences, comparing and contrasting, problem and solution and context clue vocabulary. The second half-hour will be utilized to support students as they work through ELA assignments.

  • 8th Grade Math Clinics

    The 8th Grade Math clinics will begin with an interactive review game or activity that spirals back to prior topics. This activity will encompass about half of the session time after which those attending will breakout to work on tasks related to current work including individual assistance with completion of assigned course work.
