October "Lady Panther of the Month"

Madison Dembroski

Lady Panther of the Month: Madison Dembroski

Madison has been a standout athlete at Wallkill for years now. She is currently playing Varsity Volleyball and has helped lead her team to the MHAL league championship. This fall, Madison has volunteered to take two “little sisters” in our Big Sister/Little Sister program between our varsity and JV teams.  She loves being a positive influence on our younger players to create great program unity.

Madison has also stepped up to play a new position this year which has completely transformed the team. After suffering a knee injury she seamlessly transitioned to the Libero spot. Her versatility on the court has helped Wallkill become a dominant force in section 9.

Madison has been a captain on the varsity team in both her sophomore and junior seasons. She organized volleyball summer workouts, team sleepovers, and all other duties asked of her as a captain.

As far as her performance on the court is concerned, Madison leads the team every game in digs.  She regularly has key serving runs to finish sets in a many of the team’s matches. The volleyball team is currently and will play Cornwall in the section 9 championship on Friday, November 2nd.
