Miah Frisbie

Miah Frisbie

Varsity Sport Played: Varsity Gymnastics and Varsity Soccer

Grade: 11

Miah has contributed positively to our gymnastics program for the past 5 years. She is constantly helping, motivating and coaching her teammates to be their best. She always has a positive outlook, even when things can prove to be difficult. She finds solutions and works extremely hard to reach goals that she sets for herself. Gymnastics is not an easy sport by any means but when you ask Miah about it she will tell you that it is fun. When Miah performs you can tell that she enjoys what she is doing.

Miah consistently demonstrates leadership qualities. She has always, and continues to be there for her teammates. She constantly the coaching staff if there is anything they need help with and always starts practice off by leading the stretches and warmups.
Miah has qualified for the NYS Championship Meet for the past 4 years, 2 of which she qualified in the All Around. Miah's scores have always and continue to be some of the highest in the section on the uneven bars and floor. She has been awarded MVP 2 out of the past 4 years at the Varsity level as well as our Coaches Award and Pride of Wallkill award. Miah was also a part of Wallkill's first Section 9 title win in 21 years. She performs some of the most difficult moves in the section on the uneven bars and floor exercise with ease and works hard at both gymnastics and soccer during the same season.
Miah excels in the classroom as well as in athletics. She has always been able to juggle academics, school practices and club practices for soccer and gymnastics. Along with helping Wallkill's Gymnastics Team compete against section 9 opponents, Miah helped lead Wallkill's Varsity Girls Soccer team to its first ever MHAL Championship this fall.
